There are actually two waterfalls in this area which actually rein the forest with its roaring sound spreading everywhere. Athirappally falls and Vazhachal falls are subjected as the two very famous waterfalls in Kerala. But the main attraction at Athirappalli is, without doubt, the Athirappally waterfall, which is on the edge of the Sholayar forest region and is also near to Vazhachal waterfalls. Athirapally Vazhachal is a part of Chalakkudi River. The Athirapilly waterfall comes to the view on the drive along the Chalakkudy-Valparai road.
