The Sabarimala temple will open for the two-month Mandala-Makaravilakku season from -16 November 2020. The government is planning virtual queues to regulate devotees at Sabarimala in view of the COVID-19 outbreak. There will not be any ban on devotees from other States.
The Mandala pooja is on December 26 and the temple will close on December 27 after the 41-day Mandala season. It will open again on December 30 for the Makaravilakku . The Makaravilakku is on January 14, 2021, and the temple will close on 20th January 2021.
